Date-stamped : 28 Apr95 - 14:24 UM: Oxford University v Worcestershire, The Parks, 27-30 April 1995 ====> Day 1, 27 Apr 95 Hick misses boat - Ralph Dellor First day of three: Oxford Univ (10-0) trail Worcs (320-7 dec) by 310 runs GRAEME Hick sat in the pavilion while the first 50 overs were bowled. The pitch was thoroughly friendly to the batsmen, the at- tack eminently tidy but far from terrifying. Hick, with a century in his last innings, appeared set for anoth- er big score. However, having stroked four boundaries from 22 balls, he was beaten in the air by off- spinner Hasnain Malik and offered a simple return catch which was gleefully accepted. Philip Weston took advantage of the favourable conditions to reach a century decorated with eight fours and two sixes before holing out at deep midwicket. Tim Curtis went the same way after taking 190 balls to reach 81. Source :: The Electronic Telegraph (http://www.telegraph.co.uk) Contributed by The Management (help@cricinfo.com)
