Darren Lehmann, the Australian batsman, gave the Yorkshire attack something to bowl at. His 75, from 65 balls, was the mainstay of a modest total of 227. Lehmann was one of Raj Maru`s victims in the left-arm spinner`s career-best four for 29. Jason Laney and Matthew Hayden put on 87 for Hampshire`s first wicket and they were on 123 in the 29th over when Robin Smith was bowled by White for 25. The home side then subsided, losing their last nine wickets in only seven overs for 23 runs.
