Date-stamped : 26 May97 - 06:15 Lancashire v Northamptonshire Lancashire (241) beat Nothamptonshire (166) by 75 runs LANCASHIRE, sustained by Jason Gallian`s unbeaten 101, his competition-best, made it four wins from four Sunday League games this season as they beat Northamptonshire by 75 runs at Old Trafford, writes David Green. Northants` target, a formidable 242 to win on a slowish pitch, had become virtually unattainable by the 10th over when they were 27 for four. A run-out was followed by Peter Martin`s opening salvo of three for 14. He finished with five for 21 - another Sunday best - as Northants were dismissed for 166. Gallian and Mike Watkinson gave Lancashire a useful start before Paddy McKeown, with a brisk 37, helped Gallian to give the innings impetus. Gallian reached his fifty off 72 balls but needed only 39 more deliveries to reach three figures. He hit nine fours and one fine on-driven six.
