Date-stamped : 15 Sep97 - 22:10 ALTHOUGH Shaun Udal took only one wicket and conceded the -L5,000 prize for most Sunday wickets to Lancashire`s Peter Mar- tin, his 94-ball 70, made from No 4, had much to do with Hamp- shire`s last-ball win over Sussex at Southampton, a result which condemned Sus- sex to finishing bottom, writes David Green. Chasing 181, Hampshire declined to 65 for four but Udal, as- sisted by Will Kendall, turned things round with a fifth-wicket stand of 60. Hampshire hearts fluttered when Adrian Aymes was run out off the penultimate ball with two runs needed but Simon Renshaw drove Keith Newell straight for four off the final ball.
