ICC Trophy in Kenya, Feb-Mar 1994 - Summary of Results
Tournament format:
==================
20 teams take part in the competition, divided into 4 groups
of 5 teams each. After the first round group matches, top 2
teams from each group qualify for the second round. 3rd and
4th placed teams qualify for the Plate Competition. 5th
placed teams play for the wooden spoon competition.
The 8 teams that qualify for the 2nd round are divided into
two groups of 4 each. The top 2 teams from each group will
play the semi-finals and the winners play in the finals.
The Plate competition proceeds likewise.
The losing semi-finalists play each other for deciding the 3rd
position. The two finalists and the third placed team get a
chance to play in the World Cup 1996.
