Sadagopan Ramesh

Sadagopan Ramesh comes from a rich cricketing background. He has three brothers, all of whom play cricket. His elder brother S. Mahesh currently plays for Tamil Nadu along with Ramesh. But it is Sadagopan Ramesh who has reached the highest rung of the cricketing ladder.

His approach to batting is refreshing in this age of slam bang one day cricket. His style reminds one quickly of so many graceful left handers of the past. He hardly seems to need to move his feet, playing the bowling stylishly, relying on his supreme sense of timing to dismiss the ball nonchalantly to all parts of the ground! He angles the bat and caresses the ball into the gaps. Ramesh's batting is all about flow. With lazy elegance, the runs seem to just drift off his blade.

Off the field, Ramesh is a quintessential Chennai youngster. Outgoing and laid back, Ramesh has graced a good many television programs, cracking jokes and enjoying the attention showered on him!

The future looks good for Sadagopan Ramesh, and in all likelihood he will grow into a world class batsman!
