A Trans-Tasman Encounter (Aus in NZ 92/3)

--From during the AUS_NZ series.. 1992/3 in New Zealand

This is hot off the press. The University of Western Australia's
student 'Prosh' magazine(TM) had a couple of amusing back-page
stories which I thought I'd share with the rest of r.s.c.
NZ UMPIRES WIN ONE DAY MATCH
After a bizarre series of decisions, the umpires have been awarded
the final one day match between Australia and New Zealand. The
match started normally enough with New Zealand scoring 5/193
from their allotted fifty overs. However, when Australia came
into bat it was a different story. Umpire Ruchards (sic.)
dismissed Boon first ball, after he was judged "Go and have a
shave you ugly bastard". Taylor soon followed after being found
"Don't look at me that way, sunshine". Umpire Smuth (sic) then
dismissed Mark and Steve Waugh in consecutive balls for "My God
you're ugly" and "Jesus, you're even uglier than your brother".
Langer was next to go for "Please don't have any children", on a
ball which appeared to be struck for six. Healy was dismissed
soon after, caught behind. Border then followed with "Suck on
this, weirdo". The tail collapsed with Merv Hughes being adjudged
"I don't like that look on your face, young man", Reiffel "Don't
you know that spitting is rude young man" and Warne "Piss off, I
need a beer".
