Kent finished in fourth place by having more away wins than Essex, Hampshire or Nottinghamshire.

Each team to receive a maximum of 40 overs, with each bowler restricted to 8 overs and the bowler's run-up restricted to 15 yards.
If two or more teams finish in on the same number of points in any of the first four places, the positions will be decided on the most wins, or if still equal, the most away wins, or if still equal the highest average run-rate per over throughout the season. Counties with the same number of points in other than first four places share the position.

Points system:
Win: 4 points
Tie: 2 points
No result: 2 points

Four fielders (plus the bowler and wicket-keeper) must be within the area 30 yards from the wicket for each ball.

Prize Money
1st: 12000 pounds
2nd: 5500 pounds
3rd: 2500 pounds
4th: 1300 pounds
Winer of each match: 250 pounds (shared in the event of a 'no result')

Sixes award: 350 pounds was awarded to the batsman hitting the most sixes in the season - W.Larkins of Northamptonshire hit 17 to win the prize.

Bowling award: 350 pounds was awarded to the bowler with most 4 wickets in an innings in the season - G.J.Parsons of Leicestershire achieved the feat on 3 occasions to win the award.
