Rahul Dravid's ODI Centuries:

Century No: 1 (Pepsi Independence Cup 6th match v Pak in Ind 1996/97 at Chennai - Runs: 107)
Dravid's first ODI century came in his 35th game in Saeed Anwar's match in Chennai. A target of 328 was always going to be a tough nut to crack although Dravid gamely kept up the chase, stroking 107 in 116 balls. After he was fifth out, India faded away to lose by 35 runs. [ Scorecard ]

Century No: 2 (1st ODI v NZ in NZ 1998/99 at Taupo - Runs: 123*)
In the first ever ODI at Taupo, Dravid made a run-a-ball 123 as India ran up 257 after winning the toss and batting. New Zealand's target was revised to 200 runs off 39 overs by the Duckworth/Lewis method and they won with an over to spare. [ Scorecard ]

Century No: 3 (Pepsi Cup 2nd match v SL in Ind 1998/99 at Nagpur - Runs: 116)
On this occasion, Dravid's century came in an Indian victory. He and Ganguly notched up a 236 run second wicket stand as India thumped Sri Lanka by 80 runs. [ Scorecard ]

Century No: 4 (World Cup 15th match v Kenya 1999 at Bristol - Runs: 104*)
India dispatched the Kenyan challenge in the World Cup with a comfortable 94 run triumph. Dravid's 104 was a relatively sedate effort when compared to SRT's rollicking 140. Dravid also kept wickets for 41 overs in the Kenyan innings after Mongia was injured. [ Scorecard ]

Century No: 5 (World Cup 21st match v SL 1999 at Taunton - Runs: 145)
Three days later, Dravid joined hands with Saurav Ganguly to deal in brutal fashion with an inept Sri Lankan attack at Taunton. The pair added a staggering 318 runs in 44.5 overs of which Dravid's contribution was 145 in 129 balls. It was a world record partnership but one that would last less than six months. [ Scorecard ]

Century No: 6 (Cocacola singapore challnege final v WI 1999/00 at Singapore - Runs: 103*)
Dravid's sixth ODI century came in the city where he made his debut three years earlier: Singapore, although on a different ground (the Kallang not the Padang). Dravid who crossed 3000 runs in the course of his innings cracked an unbeaten 103 but it was not enough to prevent India going down by 4 wickets. [ Scorecard ]

Century No: 7 (2nd ODI v NZ in Ind 1999/00 at Hyderabad - Runs: 153)
After Ganguly had fallen in the second over, Dravid and Tendulkar went on the rampage in a 331 run stand that erased the afore-mentioned record at Taunton. Dravid's run-a-ball 153 was decked with fifteen fours and two sixes as India piled up their highest ever ODI total of 376/2 to close out a 174 run victory. [ Scorecard ]

Century No: 8 (4th ODI v WI in Ind 2002/03 at Ahmedabad - Runs: 109*)
Helping any side chase down 325, particularly after Chris Gayle has pasted your bowlers all over the park, is no small deal. Dravid's unbeate 109, off 124 balls, was an exercise in keeping the scoreboard ticking without resorting to slogging even once. With first VVS Laxman and then Sanjay Bangar, Dravid guided India to the target in only 47.4 overs, levelling the seven-match series at 2-2. [ Scorecard ]

Century No: 9 (2nd match of the Asia Cup, v UAE in 2004 at Dambulla - Runs: 104)
With India at 65 for 3, it appeared as if the UAE had India on the back foot. But in the company of Sourav Ganguly, Dravid hit 104 in only 93 balls, boosting India to an eventual 260. It was all the encouragement that India's bowlers needed to rip through the UAE lineup in just 35 overs for 144. [ Scorecard ]

Century No: 10 (1st ODI v Pak in Ind 2004/05 at Kochi - Runs: 104)
In a batting display of great style, Dravid and Virender Sehwag (108) lifted India from 4 for 2 to 281 for 8 in 50 overs. Dravid's century was the measured counterpoint to Sehwag's belligerence, but both were equally effective in dominating Pakistan's bowlers. [ Scorecard ]

Century No: 11 (5th ODI v SL in Ind 2005/06 at Ahmedabad - Runs: 103*)
Battling Muttiah Muralitharan's wiles, Dravid's unbeaten 103 came at a time when India were fumbling at 69 for 3. There followed a 128-run partnership with Gautam Gambhir (103), and a spirited shepherding of the tail towards a competitive target. Unfortunately, Tillekeratne Dilshan's 81 not out denied Dravid's century with the reward of a win. [ Scorecard ]

Century No: 12 (1st ODI v WI in WI 2006 at Jamaica - Runs: 105)
Dravid overcame a drought of ODI centuries - a sequence of 17 games, when he walked out to bat at the series opener. Opening with Virender Sehwag, Dravid threw his weight around, scoring ten fours and two sixes, at the same playing the sheet anchor role after a sudden burst of wickets. His crucial 123-run stand with Mohammad Kaif shut West Indies out of the match for most part and his glorious strokes acted as a calming influence on his partner, struggling for form. His 105 off only 102 balls overshadowed Chris Gayle.s ton earlier and set up the win for India. [ Scorecard ]
