West Indies have won by 39 runs
and finally the Australian winning streak is broken after 21
consecutive wins
When Lee picked up Gayle with his second ball it looked like the
same old script
But Lara (80) and Hinds (79) came together and put up a 178 runs
partnership for the second wicket
even after both of them were dismissed in the same over the run
flow did not stop, Sarwan (32) and especially Samules (42) picked
it up from there
Once 290 was put up it was always going to be a tough ask, and the
Australian batsmen crumbled under pressure
Collymore picked up early wickets
Lara bravely turned to his part time bowlers and the moved paid off
Samuels got two wicket, Sarwan and Gayle picked up one each
Sarwan even bowled full ten overs
wickets kept on falling at regular intervals and the required run
rate kept on rising
Symonds played well for his 77 and Clarke (39) once again proved
his worth
Australia were all out for 251 and West Indies won by 39 runs
Man of the Match : Brian Lara
