        Last Wicket: 244 / 7 - DE Bernard 7 (11)

  • West Indies won by 3 wickets
earlier in the day, Ponting won the toss and elected to bat first
the Australian openers started of brilliantly, particularly
Gilchrist (64) was severe on the bowlers, he dispatched them to
all the parts of the park and at one stage they were 90 for 1
then Lara bravely turned to his spinners and the runs started to
dry out and wickets started to fall
In the middle Lehmann played a decent innings (43), and towards the
end Bichel (41) played some healthy blows and Australia ended up
            with 252
Gayle was the pick of the bowlers, it took three wickets, Samuels
and Collymore ended up with two each and Sarwan picked up the
            important wicket of Symonds
the run chase started off well with Gayle and Hinds but soon Gayle
fell and that was followed by the soft dismissal of Lara
then Sarwan and Hinds came together and put up 114 runs parthership
for the third wicket and taht laid the platform for the victory
Hinds went on to make his 2nd One Day International hundred
and Sarwan got to yet another half century
and towards the end some wayward bowling and some pretty good
running between the wickets helped West Indies reach the target
            with 8 balls remaining
and after a long time Australia looses two matches in a row
we hope you have enjoyed the coverage of this match, we will be
