Partially blind Australian batsman Chris Backstrong plays a stroke as totally blind New Zealand fieldmen stand by for a catch during the first ever Cricket World Cup for the visually impaired 17 November 1998 in New Delhi.  Though not all team members are totally blind, most players rely wholly on the noise emanating from the pebble-filled ball.
